Winemaker Dinner with Omaha Native Chris Brockway
March 6, 2012
Winemaker's Dinner with Omaha Native Chris Brockway - March 6. Mark your calendar for our Winemaker Dinner with Chris Brockway of Broc Cellars (Berkeley, CA) on March 6. Named a Winemaker to Watch in 2012 by the San Francisco Chronicle, Chris will be returning home to partner with Chef Clayton's sustainably driven menu. Chris shares a similar philosophy with his winemaking and sources grapes that are organically, biodynamically, or sustainably grown. A decidedly old-school approach allows Chris to make wines that showcase the truest characteristics of each varietal he uses. With grapes grown in cooler climates and under harsher conditions (by mainstream standards), Chris uses techniques and technology that are more traditional, yet produce wines of such distinction that one gets a sense of place when drinking them. That is not an easy feat these days. All the more reason to join us on March 6th and to meet one of the brightest winemakers in the United States right here at The Grey Plume. Open reservations throughout the night, and the night will fill fast!
